Culture is a wide-ranging concept in which notions
like art, tradition and cultural heritage are included.
One of the
concerns of euventures is to consider the contemporary art scene
in Europe so that the culture specific to a country means more than
well-known cultural assets and traditional crafts.
Art does not only consists of paintings and
sculptures. Art denounces, criticizes and enlightens. Artistic
creations are always the result of an open, integrating and tolerant
society.
Particularly in the new
member states (from Central and Eastern Europe) it is
important to support the process of democratization by encouraging
artists.
